JAMIE VARDY is today expected to receive an extra one-match ban — ruling him out of Sunday’s potential title-clincher at Manchester United.
The Leicester striker missed Sunday’s 4-0 win against Swansea after being sent off against West Ham.
He was shown a second yellow after the referee decided he dived to try and win a penalty.
Vardy, 29, launched an angry tirade on the pitch at ref Jon Moss before leaving the field — prompting the additional misconduct charge.
He made his case at Wembley yesterday in front of an FA disciplinary committee.
It is understood they will ban Vardy for one extra game — just as they did with Chelsea’s Diego Costa after his misconduct charge following a red card at Everton — and slap the Foxes star with a £10,000 fine.
Moss’ performance — where he also awarded two controversial penalties during Leicester’s 2-2 draw with the Hammers — had been widely criticised.
