The Round Table- Should a Man Expect some "Compensation" From A Lady For Taking Her Out On a Date Even If She Is Not Interested?

Story broke earlier today about a rather interesting incident that happened at Ibadan between a young man identified as @pabloayodeji on twitter who took a lady out on a date with the intention of asking her out only to be turned down by the said lady. In a nutshell, the young man met the lady on social media  and decided to take her to the cinema  where he made his intentions known and was flatly turned down by the lady. Obviosuly peeved by the development, he took to his tweeter handle  and called the lady out, calling  her a boke, ass-hungry bi...

The lovelorn young man got an instant and epic reply  from the lady who instantly refunded the money spent by her admirer turned hater. The aggrieved young man not only received the N3,800 he spent on the date, he got an additional N1,200 making a total of N5,000 for his troubles.

Expectedly, the development has attracted a lot of reactions on social media with the hashtag #KeepTheChangeBae with many berating the young man for his childish behaviour. As for the lady, individuals and corporate organizations have feted her with a lot of gifts and commendations for demonstrating integrity. First Bank Nigeria not only refunded the N5,000 she paid back to her scorned erstwhile companion, a special account dedicated for women empowerment  among sundry benefits was opened in her name and was in addition crowned the #FirstGem by the bank .

From the scenario above, would you as a man seek a refund of your expenses on a date for refusing your love advances? Put simply, should a man expect some "compensation" from a lady in any form for taking her out on a date even if she is not interested in dating him?

If you were the lady, would you refund the money just to show you are not broke and hungry?

Lets talk...
