JOSE MOURINHO SIDESTEPS QUESTION ABOUT RUMOURED CALL FROM RUMOURED UNITED MANAGERIAL TARGET, ZIDANE

Jose Mourinho urged journalists to ask The Sun’s Neil Custis when questioned whether there was any truth behind reports claiming the Portuguese received a phone call from Zinedine Zidane.
This was in relation to the rumours that Zidane has been linked with the United job following their poor start to the 2018/19 campaign.

The Sun reported that the Frenchman had a conversation over the phone with Mourinho to assure him he was not plotting behind his back.
Ahead of United’s Champions League showdown with Valencia on Tuesday night, a Spanish journalist asked for a comment from Mourinho on these reports.
And while he didn’t deny any part of the story, Mourinho pointed towards Custis and urged the room to consult him if they wanted to know about the alleged phone call as it was him who wrote the story.
