The statement reads in part: "This is to inform the general public that to the glory of God, three staffers of Osun State civil service, Mrs Adebimpe Ogunlumade, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mr Tajudeen Badejoko, Director of State Audit and driver to the Auditor-General of the state, Mr Oladapo Ajani Arogundade have regained their freedom from their abductors this evening of Sunday, 24th April, 2016.
"Arrangements are now being made to convey them to Osogbo within the shortest possible time by security agents with a view to re-uniting them with their families and relations."
It would be recalled that kidnappers had on Friday in Kogi state abducted the Ogunlumade, Badejoko and their driver, Arogundade between Obajana area and Lokoja when they were on their way from Abuja to Osogbo.
The gunmen forced their vehicle to stop and violently whisked them away to an unknown destination.
They were returning from Abuja after attending a meeting on the state and local government reforms project, a World Bank and European Union (EU) programme when the incident occurred around 1.30pm.
