BENFICA’S president is in Manchester to finalise Renato Sanches’ move to United, according to reports in Portugal.
And O Jogo claim Benfica chief, Luis Filipe Vieira, was also part of the trip — and talks were held with United chief executive, Ed Woodward.
They also state the Red Devils are willing to pay a total of £47million for Sanches.
The highly-rated Portuguese midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford for some time now.
Fellow countryman, Jose Mourinho, is likely to replace Louis van Gaal as manager in the summer and is thought to be a big fan of Sanches.
There are expected to be wholesale changes one again at Old Trafford in the summer — with midfield expected to be a key area the club will target new personnel.
Marouane Fellaini was recently pictured in Rome, sparking rumours he could be set to move to the Italian capital in the summer.
