MURTALA MUHAMMED AIRPORT CAB DRIVERS CHAIRMAN ASSAINATED BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN

The Chairman of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport taxi park, Kennedy Uzor, and members of his family were reportedly killed by unknown armed men in the Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, yesterday.
According to Channels Television, the incident occurred at Adegbose Estate Phase 2, and threw the residents into confusion.
The report had it that the assailants scaled the fence of the victims’ resident and forced their way into their room where he and his family members were killed.
The body of the deceased persons have been deposited at a mortuary in Ikorodu.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Fatai Owoseni, has condemned the suspected murder, disclosing that investigations are ongoing.
He said, “Attackers had gone into the house and killed the head of the family and from preliminary investigations, there were signs of some struggles.
“We found out that same assassins also killed two of the kids,” he added.
Mr Owoseni said investigation has begun and that those behind the gruesome murder would be brought to justice.
“We are just picking bits and pieces of information.
“A crime scene vehicle is being sent to the area to see how much of information, exhibits and things, bits and pieces, that can be recovered from that scene that will aid our investigation.
“Everything that we need to do will be done swiftly and we will follow all the lead that we can get to make sure that whoever carried out or sponsored that act do not go unpunished.”
