IVORIAN AND PSG DEFENDER, SERGE AURIER SENTENECED TO TWO MONTHS IMPRISONMENT FOR ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER

Cote d’Ivoire international and Paris Saint-Germain defender, Serge Aurier, has been sentenced to two months in prison for violence against a police officer in the capital city of Paris.
The strong right-back was found guilty of assaulting a police officer outside a night club near Paris on May 30, 2016.
Thesun.co.uk reports that the player has also been handed a £521 fine and ordered to pay £1,300 in court costs.

However, because the sentence is a ‘convertible’ one, the 23-year-old will perform community service rather than spend time in prison.
The player is entitled to appeal the sentence.
The Ivorian is expected to be in the line-up as Unai Emery’s men travel to Bulgaria for their UEFA Champions League group match against Ludogorets.
