LAGOS BANKER NABBED WHILE WITHDRAWING N32 M FROM DEAD CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNT

One Nicholas Anthony, who reportedly works in one of the new generation banks located at Ilepo area in Ejigbo, Lagos state, was recently nabbed in his attempt to withdraw N32m from a dead customer’s account.

It was alleged that the 36-year-old banker was aware of the customer’s death and he was said to have connived with one Junior Walter and Akeem, to claim the late customer’s N32m.
Anthony reportedly processed documents to claim the money as beneficiary and he allegedly gave the said documents to Walter to come to the bank in order to claim the money as planned.

Luck, however, ran out on them when the management of the unnamed bank detected the scam as the late customer was a well-known customer.

The matter was said to have been reported at the Ejigbo Police Division.
The duo was arrested and charged before Magistrate, A. A Fashola, of an Ejigbo Senior Magistrates’ court in the state where proceedings are ongoing.
