"I AM NOT A FOREX DEALER" , AISHA BUHARI CRIES OUT

Aisha-Buhari-Naijaurban
Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has debunked claims by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that she is among those round tripping scarce foreign exchange, forex.
She denied being involved in foreign exchange dealings, hence could not have been a beneficiary of an alleged $22million allocation from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
The PDP had on its Twitter handle: @PdpNigeria, posted yesterday that Mrs Buhari, some aides of President Muhammadu Buhari were beneficiaries of dollar allocations from the Governor of the CBN, Mr Godwin Emefiele.
While alleging that they got the dollars below the official exchange rate of N197, the opposition party accused Aisha’s company of collecting $22million at the rate of N185 and then selling it off at N362 same day.
But reacting to the allegations via her Twitter handle @aishambuhari, the wife of the president described the claim as false and unfounded especially as it was without evidence, saying she has never been involved in “any illegal dealings”.
She threatened that any further attempts to malign her person will be dealt with according to the laws of the land.
