Leicester celebrated their remarkable Premier League title triumph in style with a convincing 3-1 victory over Everton in front of their jubilant fans.
It took just five minutes for top scorer Jamie Vardy – returning from a two-match suspension – to open the scoring, and Andy King added a second before half-time.
It was fitting that midfielder King got himself on the scoresheet on coronation day, as the only player in the Leicester squad who has won League One, the Championship and Premier League titles with the club.
Vardy put the game to bed with 25 minutes remaining when he converted from the spot after being brought down by Matthew Pennington.
And the England striker had a glorious chance to score his hat-trick goal when Leicester won another penalty, only to blaze his effort well over the bar.
Kevin Mirallas evaded two challenges to score a brilliant late consolation goal for Everton, but it was too little too late.
Full match report to follow.
