STABBING INCIDENT AT ON-GOING NOTTINHILL CARNIVAL MARS EVENT

Two teenage boys - 15 and 16 - suffered stab wounds at Ladbroke Grove around 5.10pm yesterday. Both were taken to hospital but their condition is not life-threatening.
Police are hunting for a suspect after a man was stabbed in Portobello Street. And another man was stabbed in the head near Kensal Rise tube station. Police enquires are continuing.
On top of the drug and knife arrests, police also detained four people for sexual offenses, two for GBH and nine for ABH.
Officers also arrested a man for illegal street trading when he was caught attempting to sell 500 cans of beer.
More than 150 cans of nitrous oxide canisters were also seized by police. The government made it an offence to sell the drug - known as laughing gas - earlier this year.
Yesterday around 500,000 partygoers took to the streets for the carnival which involved surges of colour and music.
Shortly after sunrise at 6am, early morning revellers yesterday got the first street party of this year's event underway – and then threw paint, mud, chocolate, powder and even oil at each other while dancing to music.
And officers tasked with policing the event got into the carnival spirit, with two filmed being 'twerked' against by dancing females. One was seen feigning a mop of his brow while the other looked on awkwardly as a woman swayed suggestively in front of him.

Procession: Festival organisers will hope for a better day two after yesterday's logistical nightmare for medics tasked with treating 411 patients and taking 71 to hospital
There will be a fun atmosphere at the carnival today but police are warning people to be safe after arrests made on Sunday led to more than 100 revellers being detained
