Manchester City starlet, Kelechi Iheanacho, is now the highest-earning
Nigerian player in the Premier League, after agreeing a £85,000-per-week
deal with the club.
Iheanacho signed a new two-year contract extension to stay at the
Etihad until 2021. He admitted his new deal will “change the lives of
his family”.
The 19-year-old now earns more than Super Eagles captain, Mikel John Obi, who picks up £70,000 a week at Chelsea.
Victor Moses is paid £50,000 a week at Stamford Bridge.
Iheanacho’s new agents negotiated this bumper deal, even though they
are still locked in an ownership tussle with the player’s former
representatives.
