WALTER MAZZARRI has been confirmed as Watford's new boss on a three-year deal.
The former Napoli and Inter Milan chief, 54, hammered out terms with owner Gino Pozzo on Friday night.
Mazzarri will replace Quique Flores, who was sacked last week despite guiding the Hornets to 13th in the Premier League and an FA Cup semi-final.
That move was branded "crazy" by striker Troy Deeney but the club have acted quickly to appoint a new manager.
The new Vicarage Road chief has not managed since he was sacked from Inter in November 2014 and has spent periods of the past 18 months in England, where he has been learning the language.
