MY LION WILL WALK THROUGH THIS DEN OF LIES AND INJUSTICE- FEMI FANI-KAYODE'S WIFE DECLARES

The wife of Femi Fani-Kayode, who is currently being detained by the EFCC, Precious Chikwendu has described the detention of her husband as an injustice, adding that he will be vindicated at the end of his investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The former Aviation minister is in the custody of the anti-graft agency over a N840 million cash he allegedly collected as spokesman of the Goodluck Jonathan’s Campaign Organisation, in the build up to the last presidential election.
He has been in detention has been since May 9, even as the EFCC secured a court order on Monday to keep him in custody for 21 days.
Reacting in a terse statement issued yesterday, Chikwendu said her “lion” would overcome “the lies and injustice.”
She said, “If life was a movie I’m sure we would have our fingers on the fast forward button to skip so many scenes that aren’t just fair.
“But this is reality and in reality we live through it. It’s a time when strength and courage comes in play and only the brave can afford both.
“My lion (Femi Fani-Kayode) will walk through this webby den of lies and injustice.
“Persecution and trials are common, only the weak fear them. He remains brave and strong through all these and soon he will be vindicated. I stand with my husband Femi Fani-Kayode.”
