PLATEAU UNITED MIDFIELDER, SABOLE SHEHU DIES IN AN ACCIDENT SIX DAYS TO WEDDING

Plateau United player, Sabole Shehu, has passed away in a car crash on Sunday while on his way to Kaduna, the club has confirmed.
The tragic incident happened six days to his wedding ceremony.
The former Niger Tornadoes and Gombe United player, only joined Plateau United at the start of last season. He was a key member of the squad, that gained promotion back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Albert Dakup, the club’s media officer, explained that Shehu was given time off to prepare for his wedding and was on his way to Kaduna, when he was involved in a ghastly car accident.
He died instantly at the scene of the crash.
”I got the sad news of Shehu’s death with shock and disbelief. He was such a nice, very hard working and dedicated player who contributed immensely to the team’s promotion to the premier league last season. He would be missed by Plateau United players and officials and we pray that Allah grant him eternal rest,” Pius Hemwan, the club’s Acting General Manager, told Goal.
