Johnson, a former Miss California, and Phelps have announced plans to get married following the Rio games which will finish on August 21
Phelps, 30, retired from swimming after the London 2012 games, where he won four golds and two silvers, before returning to competition in 2014.
He aims to compete in his fifth Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August after appearances in Sydney, Athens, Beijing and London, where he amassed a record 18 gold medals.
Phelps and Johnson have said they will get married once the competition is over on August 21.
The pair have been engaged since February last year, a celebration they also announced on Instagram with a picture of them rolling around in the snow.
The couple have been dating on-and-off since at least 2009, officially splitting late in 2011 before rekindling their romance in 2014. They announced the pregnancy in November last year.
Phelps has previously praised Johnson for helping him through his struggle with alcohol dependency following his DUI arrest in 2014.
Speaking with Today, Phelps said his drinking problem reached the point where he 'didn't want to see another day' because of the effect it was having on his family.

However, he said Johnson was instrumental in getting him support, even accompanying him when he flew to The Meadows in Arizona for rehab.
Phelps spent 45 days in treatment before joining Alcoholics Anonymous, and announced his engagement to Johnson shortly afterward.
Looking ahead to Rio, he said: 'If I'm going to come back, I need to do this the right way. I've got to put my body in the best physical shape I can possibly get it in.
'Is it a challenge? No. I go to bed earlier. I sleep more. I wake up every day and have a completely clear head. I don't feel like my head went through a brick wall. There are so many positives to it.
'Are there days I'm sitting on the golf course or sitting on my roof (patio) and would like to have a beer? Yeah. But I have a year left in my career. If I really want it bad enough, I will make that sacrifice.'
