FOUR PERSONS ROASTED TO DEATH ALONG LOKOJA-OKENE ROAD

ogbomoso_tankersfire_001An accident involving two J5 buses with registration numbers: Katsina KZR 321 ZT and Plateau XB 609 JTA, has occurred on the Lokoja-Okene expressway in the early hours of Friday, reportedly claiming four lives.
No fewer than 14 persons were involved in the accident, which saw four of them reportedly burnt to ashes, while three other persons escaped unhurt.
The Kogi State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr Ogochukwu Ugboma, who confirmed the accident to newsmen, said the seven other persons were critically injured.
He said the accident occurred at a spot in Irepeni Village at about 5 am.
Ugboma identified sleep on the part of one of the drivers as the possible cause of the accident, adding that all the injured persons have been taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja for treatment.
