An Osogbo Customary Court on Thursday dissolved the marriage between Mr. Kolapo Saheed and his wife, Mrs. Rofiat Kolap.
The woman told the court that her husband had stopped having sexual intercourse with her.
But
the husband, who is a bricklayer accused his wife of being stubborn,
troublesome and that she had never given him peace of mind in the house.
He added that Rofiat doesn’t heed to instructions and lacked respect.
Reacting,
Rofiat denied her husband’s claims and instead accused his family of
always maltreating her ever since she lost her only child.
“My
in-laws are heartless and have been setting my husband against me since I
lost my first child; they have not even given my husband another chance
to mate with me.
“Was it my fault that we lost the baby? Or do they think I am happy that I lost my only child?,” she queried in tears.
Upon the husband’s insistence, the president of the court, Chief Gabriel Oparanti dissolved the marriage with immediate effect.
