MEMPHIS DEPAY has emphatically put paid to any rumours he is set to leave Manchester United with a stunning Instagram montage.
The Dutch winger has underwhelming to say the least in his first season at Old Trafford.
However, the morning after the team’s end of season awards, Memphis published a 12-image-large montage of himself celebrating one of his two Premier League goals this season — against Watford.
Memphis was Louis van Gaal’s first summer signing and came amid much hype following a sensational season in his native Holland.
The Dutchman played a starring role as he led PSV Eindhoven to the title — finishing as the division’s top goal scorer and winning Young Player of the Year in the process.
However, he has failed to shine at Old Trafford.
Only twice — against Club Brugge and FC Midtjylland — did Memphis play anywhere near his best.
In the Champions League preliminary qualifier, against the Belgian side, the 21-year-old bagged a stunning brace as United came from behind to win the first leg 3-1.
And, against the Danish minnows, it was super debutant, Marcus Rashford who won all the plaudits.
But Memphis turned in a stellar performance with United staring at Europa League humiliation in the face — capping it off with the fifth goal.
Overall, however, it is has been an extremely disappointing campaign on a personal level.
Memphis was replaced at half-time during United’s 3-0 humiliation atArsenal.
And he was guilty of a comical misjudgement which led to Stoke’s opening goal in a 2-0 defeat at the Britannia on Boxing Day.
It was a result which appeared to leave Van Gaal on the brink of losing his job.
Yet worse was to come.
The nadir for Red Devils fans was his role in Diego Costa’s stoppage time equaliser at Stamford Bridge.
Jesse Lingard’s fantastic opener appeared to have set United on their way for only their second win at Chelsea for 12 years.
However, Memphis — who had only been introduced on 87 minutes to kill time — had the whole space in front of him leading to the corner flag with 90 minutes already passed.
Yet, he tried to find Morgan Schneiderlin with an ambition ball which was poorly executed and went straight into the hands of Thibaut Courtois.
