MANCHESTER UNITED EMERGES WORLD'S MOST SHIRT SELLING CLUB DESPITE MISSING OUT OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Manchester United sold more replica shirts, than any other football club in the world in 2016.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the Premier League club sold 2,850,000 units last year, helped by the summer arrivals of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimobvic.
Real Madrid are second in the list, having sold 2,290,000 shirts in 2016 while Barcelona are third with 1,980,000.
Chelsea are the closest to United in England, as they sold 1,650,000 shirts. Liverpool are seventh in the global chart selling 705,000.
Arsenal also made it into the top 10, but there was no place for Manchester City.
In Germany, Bayern Munich sold the highest with 1,500,000, while Juventus are Serie A’s top club. Paris Saint-Germain sold more kits than any other French club.
Just last week, United returned to the top of Deloitte’s football rich list.
