In a move that indents more on image laundering and face-saving, the Nigerian Army has visited the Anambra-based cripple Chijioke Raphael Uraku who was assaulted by two of its men at Onitsha to commiserate with him over the incident.
The Army delegation led by the new 302 commander, Col. Idongesit Uko Akpan and the Deputy Director Public Relations (82 div), Col. Sagir Musa presented assorted gift items to Uraku including clothes and cash.
The Army would hope this visit addresses the bad press that the actions of its officers has attracted and probably end the matter there without any litigation.
