DEADLINE DAY REVIEW- JUAN CUADRADO RE-JOINS JUVE ON A THREE YEAR LOAN DEAL

Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado has secured a return to Juventus on a loan deal running until 2019.

Cuadrado's return to Italy has been completed after prolonged talks between Chelsea, Juventus and the player's agent Alessandro Lucci, despite manager Antonio Conte's attempts to convince him to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Juve will pay a loan fee of €5 million a season, though they have the right to sign the player outright for a total fee of €25 million. A further €4 million is payable in add-on clauses.

Juve said in a statement on Wednesday: "Juventus Football Club can today confirm that an agreement has been reached with Chelsea for the loan of Juan Guillermo Cuadrado Bello until 30 June 2019, for an annual consideration of €5 million.

"Juventus has the right to acquire the player on a permanent basis, or will be obliged to upon the achievement of agreed team results during the loan period, for a fee of €25 million, payable in three financial years, minus the loan fees already paid.

"Should Juventus achieve certain sporting results during the player's contract of employment, the club will owe Chelsea an additional €4 million in contingent payments."

 The Colombian moved to Chelsea from Fiorentina for around £26m in February 2015 but made just four starts under Jose Mourinho before joining Juventus on a season-long loan last August.

He made 40 appearances and scored five goals in all competitions as Juve claimed a fifth successive Serie A title.

Cuadrado has not featured in any of Chelsea's opening three Premier League matches, with Conte saying he was waiting for clarity on the player's future.

Pedro Rodriguez and Victor Moses will provide cover for Eden Hazard and Willian on the flanks for Chelsea this season after Christian Atsu was allowed to leave for Newcastle on a season-long loan.

BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER ENDS STELLAR INTERNATIONAL CAREER WITH FRIENDLY WIN OVER FINLAND

Germany beat Finland 2-0 in a low-key friendly in Monchengladbach which marked the final game in a Germany shirt for Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Manchester United midfielder played 67 minutes of a game designated his testimonial before leaving the field to a standing ovation after picking up the 121st and last cap of his career.

Max Meyer and a Paulus Arajuuri own goal ensured the final scoreline in front of just over 30,000 fans with the world champions unable to make more of their chances and just going through the motions at times.

They will be in a more serious mood at the weekend, though, when they travel to Norway for their first 2018 World Cup qualifier.

All eyes were on Schweinsteiger as he wiped away the tears when presented with flowers after leading Germany out for the last time.

Meanwhile, Robbie Keane scored in his international farewell as the Republic of Ireland thrashed Oman 4-0 in international friendly action in Dublin.

Keane, who announced last week he would retire from the international scene after the match, was given the start by manager Martin O'Neill and didn't disappoint.

And the LA Galaxy striker had the Aviva Stadium fans out of their seats in the 30th minute, backing Robbie Brady's eighth-minute opener with a superb individual goal.

Racing onto a Jonathan Walters flick, Keane played his first touch over the head of the oncoming defender and volleyed underneath Oman goalkeeper Faiz Al-Rushaidi from close range with his right foot.

Walters then followed up Keane's goal with another just four minutes later, and added a second after the break to complete the rout. 

The Czech Republic cruised past Armenia 3-0 at the Mestsky Stadion in Benesov.

Ladislav Krejci opened the scoring in the fourth minute, with Vaclav Kadlec doubling the lead before the half and Jan Kopic rounding off the scoring four minutes from time.

Hosts Denmark crushed Liechtenstein 5-0 in CASA Arena in Horsens.

Nicolai Jorgensen bagged a brace, while Andreas Cornelius, Viktor Fischer and Jens Stryger Larsen finished off the comfortable victory for the Danes.

DEADLINE DAY REVIEW- WEDER BREMEN SIGN SERGE GNABRY FROM ARSENAL

Werder Bremen have completed the signing of Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry for a reported fee of £5 million.

Gnabry, 21, will leave England five years after joining Arsenal from Stuttgart as a 16-year-old and will join his new teammates on Sept. 7 following Germany's under-21 match in Finland next Tuesday.

"I'm very happy to be here," he told the club website. "I had very good talks with the management and that has lead me here to Werder and the Bundesliga. The Olympics were a personal highlight for me and I'd like to carry on my development here at Werder.

"I'm confident we'll have a successful season and push for the top half of the table."

Some reports had suggested that Bayern Munich would be paying the fee and then loaning him back to the club, but general manager Frank Baumann added: "There aren't any agreements with other clubs. Serge Gnabry is our player. We have bought him."

The winger starred in the 2013-14 season when he made nine league appearances for the Gunners. But he missed the following campaign with fitness problems and last term his loan to West Bromwich Albion was cut short in January after failing to impress Tony Pulis.

Despite his lack of first-team minutes, Gnabry was called up to the Germany U23 squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics where he scored six goals and played a key role as his nation advanced to the final against hosts Brazil.

At Bremen, he is set to link-up with a strong attack which includes former Germany international Max Kruse, veteran striker Claudio Pizarro and United States international Aron Johannsson.

However, the club suffered a 6-0 defeat at Bayern Munich on the opening weekend of the Bundesliga.

DEADLINEDAY REVIEW- MARIO BALOTELLI JOINS FRENCH CLUB, NICE

Liverpool have confirmed that Mario Balotelli has completed a permanent transfer to French side Nice.

Nice have signed the striker on a free transfer to end his two-year nightmare stay on Merseyside.

Balotelli was in the south of France on Wednesday for discussions with the Ligue 1 outfit and underwent a medical, one source told ESPN FC.

Liverpool have been trying to find suitors for Balotelli, who had one year remaining on his contract, all summer after Jurgen Klopp made it clear that the misfiring forward would not be part of his plans.

Nice recently had 80 percent of the club bought out by Chinese and American investors, with club president Jean-Pierre Rivere believing the club "will scale new peaks and will continue to grow," due to the injection of new resources.

"We are very happy to welcome Mario," Rivere told the club's website. "We hope that at Nice, in a family atmosphere, he'll rediscover his enjoyment of the game.

"We know, him and us, that nothing will be easy but with desire and, I hope, the support of all our fans, we'll enable him to blossom and to bring all his talent to the service of the team.

"We're still a club under construction. Our progression is being carried out step by step. We [hope] to have a good season with our squad in all the different competitions that we will have to contend with."

Balotelli joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014, with then-manager Brendan Rodgers even labelling the move a "gamble."

He scored one goal in the Premier League for Liverpool before he was shipped out on loan to AC Milan last season.

Balotelli returned to Merseyside from his spell in Italy this summer for preseason training, but was left behind as the team toured the United States and did not appear in any of the nine friendlies.

DEADLINEDAY REVIEW- LEICESTER SIGN ALGERIAN INTERNATIONAL, ISLAM SLIMANI FROM SPORTING LISBON

Algeria striker Islam Slimani has completed a move to Leicester City from Sporting Lisbon for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old has signed a five-year deal at the King Power Stadium, subject to FA, Premier League and international clearance. 

Slimani, an international team-mate of Riyad Mahrez, told Leicester's website: "To join a team like Leicester City is a huge honour and I can't wait to get started. I've always wanted to play my football in the Premier League and to get the opportunity to do that with the reigning champions was something I simply could not turn down." 

Sporting Lisbon turned down a £25m bid from the Premier League champions in the early hours of Tuesday morning but the two clubs agreed a deal over the last few days.

Sky sources also report that Leicester are still interested in signing Slimani's team-mate Adrien Silva.

The midfielder has made it clear that he would be keen on a move to the Premier League champions.

DEDALINEDAY REVIEW- BOURNEMOUTH SIGN ARSENAL MIDFIELDER, JACK WILSHERE ON LOAN

 

Bournemouth have signed England midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season.

The move comes after it was announced earlier this week that Arsenal would be willing to let the 24-year-old go out on loan in order to get regular first-team football.

And the midfielder has opted for a spell at Bournemouth, despite interest from Crystal Palace, Roma and AC Milan.

Bournemouth chief executive Neil Blake said: "Jack is a fantastic addition to the club.

"He is a player that needs no introduction and one that, quite rightly, our supporters will be excited to see in a Bournemouth shirt.

"He will bring a wealth of international and Premier League experience, so we are delighted to be able to welcome a player of his calibre to the club."

Wilshere famously went on loan to Bolton back in 2010, where his displays established him as one of English football's brightest prospects.

He subsequently became a first-team regular for Arsenal and England, and has won 34 international caps.

However, Wilshere has been very unfortunate with injuries in recent seasons and, although he returned to fitness in time for Euro 2016, he has yet to start for Arsenal this season and was left out of the England squad on Sunday by new manager Sam Allardyce.

 

The presence of Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil at Arsenal means they are well-stocked in midfield, even without Wilshere.

And, after his representatives held meetings with Palace and Bournemouth on Tuesday, Wilshere has decided to head to the south coast in order to revive his career.

DEADLINEDAY REVIEW- TOTTENHAM COMPLETE THE SIGNING OF MOUSSA SISSOKO AFTER GAZZUMPING EVERTON

Tottenham have completed a Deadline Day coup by signing France international Moussa Sissoko just before the window closed.

The 27-year-old midfielder has signed a deal which will keep him at White Hart Lane until at least 2021.

Official confirmation of the deal emerged just after Sissoko posted a picture of himself on Twitter holding up a Spurs shirt, which he captioned: "Very happy to join Spurs for the next five years!"

 At one point Everton appeared to be favourites to sign Sissoko but Spurs matched their £30m offer and the Merseyside club eventually withdrew their interest.

Sissoko impressed for France at Euro 2016 but was unable to prevent Newcastle's relegation from the Premier League last season.

He has pushed for a transfer this summer after claiming it would be difficult to retain his international place if he was playing his football in the Sky Bet Championship.

 

Newcastle wrote in a statement on Wednesday night: "Midfielder Moussa Sissoko has completed his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

"The 27-year-old France international arrived on Tyneside in January 2013 from Toulouse and made 133 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies during three-and-a-half years at St James' Park, scoring 12 goals.

"Sissoko's final outing for United came in a 5-1 victory over his new side, Spurs, on the last day of the 2016-17 campaign."
