On Tuesday, Drake made a stop in the Motor City for his Summer Sixteen
tour and surprised the audience by welcoming Eminem to the stage. The
Detroit native rose up to the stage from a trap door and the two
launched into a performance of their track “Forever.” The collaboration
was a timely move by the rappers who have been rumored to be at odds.
But the Grammy winners proved there’s nothing but love between them.
After
their performance, Drake bowed down to the “Lose Yourself”
rapper. “Make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on a
motherf***ing microphone,” Drake said to the crowd. “He goes by the name
of Eminem. Legendary s*** tonight.”
Eminem
returned the compliment, asking his hometown to make his peer feel the
love. “It’s an honor to share the stage with this man right here,” he
said. “Detroit, one more time, make Drake feel at home.”
