A
New Hampshire mom whose 10-year-old daughter lost her battle with
AML/myelofibrosis on Saturday posted a heartfelt message to Justin to
thank him for making the girl’s dying “wish come true.” Bieber spent
time with Karlee Pearl Drew during his Boston tour stop, which was back
in May. They were photographed arm in arm.
Pam Drew, a single, disabled mom who described Karlee
as a “happy child” until two summers ago “when she came down sick” and
was diagnosed with the serious bone marrow disorder, took to Facebook Monday to thank Justin from “the bottom of my heart” for making a “difference in this world.”
Karlee’s obituary described her “a gifted dancer, artist, softball player,” as well as “Bieber’s #1 fan.”
The
timing of Justin’s life-changing meeting with Karlee is especially
meaningful because the 22-year-old singer was struggling with some
personal issues himself. It was two months after he canceled his meet and greets
because he said they left him “exhausted to the point of depression.”
And when he was in Boston specifically, he seemed especially withdrawn.
That’s when he was climbing trees and walking around barefoot in public.
It’s
nice to know that despite his own drama, the pop star found it in his
heart to make time to spend with Karlee, because it obviously meant a
lot to her and her family. See, the Biebs is actually all right.
