ITALY COACH, ANTONIO CONTE AQUITED OF MATCH FIXING CHARGES

ITALY boss Antonio Conte has been acquitted of sporting fraud after a judge dismissed the charges against him.
The 46-year-old, who takes over at Chelsea after Euro 2016, was accused of failing to report an attempt to fix a match against AlbinoLeffe when he was in charge of Serie B side Siena in 2010-11.
In April, the prosecutor of Cremona recommended a six-month suspended jail sentence and an €8,000 fine for Conte. However, judge Pierpaolo Beluzzi dismissed the charges against Conte, who had denied any wrongdoing.

The case, part of the Scommessopoli scandal was brought forward by the Italian court to avoid it dragging into the summer, where Conte will lead the national team at the European Championships in France.
Conte has previously served a four month touchline ban as part of the scandal, in 2012, although he was later cleared of any wrongdoing in that case as well.
