Chris Brown has been released from jail after he was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Baylee Curran,
the beauty queen who alleged that the 27-year-old singer pointed a gun
at her face, said she came to his house with a friend around midnight to
discuss the possibility of appearing in upcoming music videos. After a
few hours of hanging out, she said a member of Brown’s crew was
displaying diamond jewelry and when she went over to admire the bling,
that’s when things took a turn for the worse.
“Chris
kind of got out of hand and said, ‘I’m so sick of all you people,’ took
out his gun, pointed it right at my face and said, ‘Get the f*** out or
I’m gonna blow your head off,'” the aspiring actress told The Insider With Yahoo on Tuesday.
The
25-year-old said that she was then walked to the front yard by two of
Brown’s friends who were hesitant to give back her cellphone, which they
had taken when she first entered the home. Curran then said that they
told her to sign a nondisclosure agreement. “I said, ‘I don’t think so.
I’m not signing anything,’” she said. “And I took my cellphone out of
his hands and made a run for it down the driveway.”
Brown was arrested just before 1 p.m. PT on
Tuesday after police procured a search warrant for his home. He was
interviewed at the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division before being booked at
the Metropolitan Detention Center and released just after 11 p.m. PT after posting $250,000 bail. “Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well,” Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, tweeted. “The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy.”
But
now Curran is finding solace in his arrest. “I’m just so glad that the
truth is revealing itself,” she said. But the Grammy winner’s fans
aren’t taking kindly to her claims. Curran said she has received hate
mail from his loyal legion.
“Threats.
‘I’m gonna F*** you up. I’m gonna come down, beat you up. Kill
yourself’” are just some of the messages she has received. “Everything
you can say has been said to me.” But Curran was quick to shut down
those questioning the validity of her story, those who are saying
that she’s only trying to gain attention. “I have enough exposure on my
own,” she said. “I’m Miss California Regional. I am an upcoming actress
and if I wanted the fame, I certainly would not do it this way.” And she
has one message for Brown: “You know what you did,” she said, looking
straight into the camera.
As
the story develops, new allegations about her own behavior are coming
out. Curran is wanted in New York City for questioning in connection
with criminal theft for allegedly stealing a fancy designer purse at the
Plaza Hotel in 2013. The pageant queen was also stripped of her crown
in part because of nude photos that surfaced. Check out the video to
hear Curran talk about the night in question, and for more of her
interview, tune in to The Insider With Yahoo on TV Wednesday night.
