NPFL RESULTS-WIKKI THRASH PILLARS, MFM LOSE AT HOME, RANGERS HOLD TORNADOES IN MINNA

Wikki Tourists have moved three points clear at the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), after a comfortable 3-1 win over Kano Pillars.

The Bauchi side were tied on 38 points with Rivers United before kick off, but have opened up the gap after winning at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium.

Emmanuel Edmund had given Pillars the lead, but the home side fought back through Ibrahim Alhassan who scored twice and Abubakar Lawal.

Rivers United were beaten 2-0 by IfeanyiUbah FC in Nnewi, while Enugu Rangers held Niger Tornadoes to a 1-1 draw in Lokoja.

Shooting Stars ended MFM FC’s unbeaten run at home with a 1-0 victory, Abia Warriors defeated Heartland 1-0 in Umuahia and Akwa United saw off El-Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in Uyo.
