COPA AMERICA- URUGUAY THRASHED 1-3 BY MEXICO AFTER ORGANIZERS MISTAKENLY PLAYED CHILEANTHEM FOR THEM

Uruguay were played the wrong national anthem before their Copa America match with Mexico in Arizona.
The team lined up at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale expecting their traditional anthem "Orientales, la Patria o la Tumba", before their first fixture of the tournament.
However, the national anthem of Chile was played.
To compound matters, Uruguay, missing the injured Luis Suarez, conceded two late goals and lost the match 3-1.
Tournament officials said in a statement: "We sincerely apologise to the Uruguayan Federation, the Uruguay national team, the people of Uruguay and to the fans for this mistake. We will work with all parties involved to ensure such an error does not occur again."
The United States are hosting the event for the first time but the opening weekend saw few goals, some mediocre games and, in some cases, sparse crowds.
