Leicester have been a revelation this season and currently sit top of the Premier League table, seven points clear of Tottenham who lead the chasing pack.
The Foxes, who have lost just three matches all season, make the trip to Sunderland on Sunday looking to maintain that gap against the relegation strugglers at the Stadium of Light.
Ranieri saw off competition from West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin and Bournemouth's Eddie Howe to scoop the award.
The former Chelsea manager has had a good week having also scooped Italian coach of the year.
