J-LO OPENS UP ON PAINFUL SPLIT FROM MARC ANTHONY FOR THE FIRST TIME

Jennifer Lopez admits in a new interview with W Magazine that at times she found it 'too hard' to be amicable with Marc Anthony after their marriage split.
The 46-year-old said that she had to work at staying on good terms with her ex for the sake of their two children Max and Emme, now eight.

'When it comes to work, I never get tired. But with personal failures, I have thought, This is too hard,' she confessed. 'When my marriage ended, it was not easy to find forgiveness.
'It wasn’t the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment, and anger.'

She added: 'But Marc is the father of my children, and that’s never going away. So, I have to work to make things right. And that is, by far, the hardest work I do.'
The former couple tied the knot in June 2004 and announced their split in July 2011 after seven years of marriage.
