BASTI SCHWEINSTEIGER RULED OUT OF FOR THE SEASON, FACES RACE TO BE FIT FOR EUROS

Bastian Schweinsteiger will not play for play for Manchester United again this season but still has a chance of leading Germany into Euro 2016, manager Louis van Gaal has revealed.
Schweinsteiger has had a disappointing first season at Old Trafford, and suffered a knee injury in training before Germany faced England in Berlin last month.
Van Gaal said that although the Germany captain is unlikely to play in United's remaining fixtures, he could still return to fitness in time to represent his country in France this summer.

'I don't think Schweinsteiger shall play this season,' said Van Gaal. 'I think, next season, he is prepared.
'Maybe he is prepared for the European Championship, I cannot predict. It is possible, but then that is also in our favour because then he is fit for the new competition [season].'
The United boss confirmed that Ander Herrera is a doubt for Saturday's game at home to bottom-of-the-table Aston Villa after he picked up an injury in Wednesday's FA Cup win at West Ham United when he was lifted off the pitch by frustrated opponent Mark Noble.
