Dorothy Onyekasi was arrested at the airport while entering Lagos, Nigeria, when she was caught with cocaine
The drugs were wrapped into 86 separate pellets, which she reportedly received from a man she met in Dubai
Details of the case were revealed in an official statement from Nigeria's National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Saturday according to Vanguard.
Onyekasi, who is a single mother of three, had the drugs in a belt bag, which she had strapped to her waist according to the official statement.
The drugs were wrapped into 86 separate pellets but were detected during the entry screening and tested positive for cocaine.
NDLEA estimated the drugs to have a street value of N20.6 million Naira (£72,937) according to the statement.
The 41-year-old reportedly feigned pregnancy in an attempt to get the drugs through customs. The drugs were stuffed into a belt bag, which she strapped to her waist
According to the statement, Dorothy Onyekasi called her involvement with drug trafficking a 'mistake'.
In the statement, she said: 'I am a business woman living in Lagos. I am separated from my husband who left me with three children.
'I travelled to Dubai to buy goods. While I was preparing to return, I met a man in Dubai who gave me the drug and promised to give me enough money to expand my business.
'He also told me that when I get to Nigeria, he will call his partner to collect the drug and give me my money.'
On NDLEA's Twitter account, the agency promised: 'Whether feigned pregnancy, private part, socks, wheelchair, electronics or ingested, NDLEA will catch you. Be warned.'
Onyekasi will be officially charged in court.
