Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals, as Real Madrid hammered Celta Vigo 7-1 on Saturday, a feat that took him to second place in the all-time La Liga goalscoring rankings.
The Portuguese forward who was whistled by the home supporters earlier in the game, responded with four goals in 26 second-half minutes, to take his total in the Spanish league to 252 in 228 matches.
His arch-rival, Lionel Messi, remains the all-time La Liga record goalscorer with 304.
Ronaldo is also now leading the race for Pichichi top scorer this season with 27 goals, two ahead of Barcelona’s Luis Suarez.
