Eva Carneiro looks have her constructive dismissal case with Chelsea heard in public after the club and her legal representatives failed to reach an agreement.
Dr Carneiro is also suing former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in a separate legal case.
After Monday's six-and-a-half hour private hearing at the London South Employment Tribunal, Dr Carneiro's barrister Mary O'Rourke QC refused to be drawn on whether a deal had been reached, saying: "Mediation proceedings are confidential."
The case is likely to be heard of June 6 this year.
