ENYEAMA RE-ITERATES STANCE ON EAGLES RETIREMENT

Enyeama denies being invited by NFFVincent Enyeama has stated that he will not change his decision and return to the Nigeria senior national team.
The Lille goalkeeper retired from international football in October 2015, after a stand-off with the then coach, Sunday Oliseh.
Enyeama had arrived at the Super Eagles’ training camp in Belgium late, having been granted extra time off because of his mother’s death. On arrival, he found out that Oliseh had stripped him of the captaincy and installed Ahmed Musa as the new skipper.
There have been reports that the interim coach, Samson Siasia, was planning to recall the veteran to the team, but Enyeama says his mind is made up.
“I don’t want to talk about this issue again. I think my earlier decision stands,” he told Brila Fm.
